Kitchen
Brookdale's kitchen was rebuilt from scratch in 2009. The old one may have had character, but it was too small for large parties of visitors, and had become out of date.
There is now a separate ceramic hob, double oven with eye level grill, extractor hood, larder fridge and large freezer. There is also a dishwasher, and sufficient crockery not to have to wash up after every meal. The table will comfortably seat 8 or more people, or spread out into the dining room, that is just through the archway.
We know what it is like to keep clothes clean and dry on holiday, particularly with children (of all ages!) who explore rock pools with excessive enthusiasm. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer to help you keep on top of things.
You can walk from the kitchen into the garden, through a rear lobby. Here there is ample room for storing muddy boots and shoes, and if you have brought your dogs with you, this is a good place for them to sleep at night.
Living and Dining Rooms
The front room and dining room are separated by sliding doors that can be opened to provide a large through room. The front room has a sofa, arm chairs, and a long window seat. There is also a flat screen television (not shown in picture), DVD player and video recorder. The dining room links directly into the kitchen through an arch, so you can move easily between all three rooms. There is also a fire guard that can be erected if you have small children to protect.
We hope you won't have any wet days during your stay, but if you do and decide on staying in, there is a fair selection of board games and other favorites to enjoy. Let's face it, no holiday is complete without a proper family row over Monopoly!
