Family holidays to remember

Brookdale is an independently run self catering holiday 'cottage' located in the heart of one of the most picturesque villages in North Devon.

With four bedrooms and accommodation for up to 11 people it provides ample room for families or groups of friends to get together for holidays.

The village of Lee has just about everything you could ask for on a country holiday. The bay, with its secluded coves where you can paddle, swim, go rock pooling or just lie back and sunbathe is less than five minutes walk from Brookdale. Also only a couple of minutes walk away is the family-friendly Grampus Inn where you can get lunch and evening meals if you fancy a break from the kitchen, or cream teas and light meals at the Old Farm tea garden.

Also close by are woods, fields and moorland to explore. Within a few minutes drive you can visit the fantastic beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton with vast expanses of golden sands, and some of the best surfing facilities in Britain. There are all sorts of other visitor attractions as well within easy reach, whatever your taste

House and garden Brookdale was built as a guesthouse around 1870 and has been home to at least five generations of our family in that time. These days we maintain the tradition of welcoming visitors by offering Brookdale as a holiday home.

Village scenes Lee bay scenes

Lee Bay and village Lee has been popular with holiday makers since the 1880s.
Unlike a number of other towns and villages in the area, Lee has resisted the developer and looks little different now to the way it was 50 years or more ago.
