Bedrooms
Brookdale has four double bedrooms, two on the first floor and two on the top. Although primarily intended as a bedroom, in addition to a 1.35m (4' 6") double bed, the first floor front room has a small sofa, chairs and television set, and can be used as sitting room.
The first floor back is decorated in a Victorian style and also has a 1.35m (4' 6") wide double bed - new in 2005.
The two top bedrooms are spacious and have sloping ceilings down to the eaves. The beds in these rooms are intended to provide a flexible range of options to meet differing family needs. Each room has a pair of 'Zip and Link' beds that can either be used as 750mm (2' 6") wide singles, or can be linked together to form a 1.5m (5') wide double bed. In the front room, there is an additional 750mm (2' 6") single. The fourth bedroom also has a pair of 900mm (3') wide bunk beds. There is also space in this room to erect a baby's cot, which is available if needed.
Bathroom, shower room and loos.
On the top floor there is a bathroom with bath and wash basin. The bath is a particular favorite as it is a large roll top Edwardian design and still has the original plunger waste pipe. Completely renovated in 2004, this is a bath to enjoy - particularly if you are over 6' tall and have forgotten what it is like to have a real all over soak!
On the first floor there is a shower room, also with separate wash basin and a separate toilet. On the ground floor there is a recently built toilet with wash basin.
